Civil Materials Engineering UdeC – part of the Materials Engineering Department – trains students to estimate, design, plan, research, advise, control, supervise and manage all stages of creation and operation of manufacturing, metalworking and materials processing industries in harmony with the environment. This, thanks to their training in the area of metallurgy and their specialized knowledge of materials.
Graduate Profile
Our engineers are highly trained professionals in the field of metallurgy, materials and emerging technologies, which enables them to estimate, design, plan, research, advise, control, supervise and manage all stages of creation and operation of metallurgical and materials processing industries, in harmony with the environment. In addition, they have the capacity to elaborate, select and acquire new materials and alloys, as well as to design and supervise the processes destined to generate products of form, properties and quality, useful to man.
