Belonging to the Informatics Engineering and Computer Science Department, the program trains professionals capable of identifying and solving problems that require automatic information processing, applying principles of mathematics, engineering and computer science, in addition to providing solutions to users’ computing needs. Graduate Profile
Informatics Engineering from UdeC are professionals qualified to identify, address and solve problems that require automatic information processing. They have been trained to apply principles of mathematics, engineering and computer science. They are trained to identify user needs, from which they formulate and design computer solutions that meet them. They can analyze and interpret large volumes of data describing systems, as well as design experiments to evaluate, characterize and model complex computer systems.

It covers the widest variety of small, medium and large companies or institutions in the area in the regional and national environment, which require planning, projecting, evaluating, designing, constructing, maintaining, operating, organizing, controlling and directing computer systems.
