Description
The degree – part of the Industrial Engineering Department – provides interdisciplinary training in Computer Science and Informatics, Operations Research and Engineering Sciences in general. They support a terminal training in Economic, Management and Production Engineering, enabling future professionals to address complex problems in the field of Industrial and Systems Engineering, including the Environment variable. Within a generalist conception, they are trained to deepen in specific lines of Industrial Engineering. The Industrial Engineer has the technical-economic knowledge that allows them to support decisions in the management of the industrial organization.

The interdisciplinary training of this professional allows them to perform multiple functions in different types of companies. The presence of the Industrial Engineer in the industrial, commercial, financial and service sectors is becoming more preponderant every day, especially in our region in the forestry, agricultural and fishing areas. The current trend places them increasingly in functions of participation in the traditional areas of the specialty, such as the formulation, evaluation and management of investment projects, and the planning, design and control of production systems.
